Université de Pune

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), formerly University of Pune and University of Poona, is a collegiate public state university located in Pune, Maharashtra. Established in 1949, and spread over a 411 acres (1.66 km2) campus, the university is home to 43 academic departments. The university is named after Savitribai Phule, a 19th-century Indian social reformer who is known for her contribution towards empowerment and emancipation of women through education.

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is an Autonomous Scientific Society of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), of the Government of India. The National Centre for Software Technology (NCST), ER&DCI and CEDTI were merged into C-DAC in 2003.

Established in 1971, The Department of Management Sciences (DMS) , Savitribai Phule Pune University (also known as PUMBA or Pune University MBA), is one of the premier business schools in India. It is an autonomous department of the prestigious University Of Pune (that was recently renamed as Savitribai Phule University Of Pune).
