This route starts at Hancock Park on the corner of Warwick St and N Park St in downtown Dahlonega.This approximately 1 1/2 mile loop will take you to several historic sites that relate to Dahlonega’s Gold mining history. The route is Paved sidewalks the entire way. The final quarter of a mile or so is uphill but not very steep on Historic Park Street where many Historic Homes are located. There are historic signs at all the locations that explain what you are seeing. There are a few benches to sit on along the route. Restrooms and water fountains are located at both Hancock Park and the Visitors center. The route may be a little long for wheelchairs and strollers. There is a playground at Hancock Park for kids. Dogs on leashes are welcome in Dahlonega.
