Evanston Beach Walk

There are walking, running, and biking trail along the beaches of Evanston. The on trail that goes closer to the water is terrain with a very little sand. It’s really good to walk or run on while getting some sunshine as well. The 2nd trail is practically next to this one but it’s asphalt and it goes through parks that have been build along the shore lines. Lots of trees so plenty of shade on hot summer days. You walk through Arlington Lagoon which is a beautiful lagoon with shooting waters, ducks, and geese. Restrooms available, water fountain, and plenty of benches. There’s also free parking along Sheridan for either 2 hrs or some areas have 3 hours max or you can park on side streets if you might need longer and it’s a short walk to the trails. You can hear the lake waves, and see plenty of seagulls, butterflies, and all sorts of small birds. There are a couple of playgrounds as well. The beach itself does have $8 entry fee.
