Running along paved road with traffic, but this is one of 3 national parks that allows a timed race event—the Southern Arizona Roadruners Labor Day run. Slightly hilly, facilities only at park center, paid parking. Lots of great hiking trails- low elevation so winter is best, or for trail running. Strong heat advisory—avoid in summer.
Run as part of an organized race offered once a year. Trying to run this route at other times would be dangerous because of vehicular traffic. Caution!
