Four Rivers Env Ed Ctr/McKinley Woods bewahren I&M

Attempted to access I&M Canal Trail at the Channahon State Park by the damn, but it was closed so went further down to McKinley Woods by the Four Rivers Environmental Educational Center. The I&M Canal trail at this segment is not paved; it’s crushed limestone, so gets a bit muddy after rain or melting snow. The Illinois & Michigan Canal Trail has numerous access points along its 96 mile route.
