Paradise to Sac State

California State University, Sacramento (CSUS; Sacramento State, informally Sac State) is a public university in Sacramento, California. Founded in 1947 as Sacramento State College, it is the eleventh oldest school in the 23-campus California State University system. The university enrolls approximately 31,500 students annually, has an alumni base of more than 240,000 and awards 7,838 degrees annually.

The Guy West Bridge is a suspension bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic spanning the American River in Sacramento in Sacramento County, California, linking the campus of California State University, Sacramento with the neighboring Campus Commons development. It was designed to resemble the Golden Gate Bridge, both in form and signature international orange color.

The Hornets Nest is a 1,012-seat multi-purpose gymnasium at California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State) in Sacramento, California. The arena opened in 1955, and is one of the oldest in D-I sports. It is home to the Sacramento State Hornets men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams.

The University Arboretum is the arboretum and botanic garden of the California State University, Sacramento at 6000 J Street, Sacramento, California, at J Street and Carlson Drive.Founded in 1945 on what used to be a pear orchard and hop ranch, the arboretum was originally named the Charles M. Goethe Arboretum in honor of Charles Goethe (1875–1966, pronounced "geh-teh"), a land developer, philanthropist, conservationist, eugenicist, and one of the university's founding fathers.
