Bağcılar is a working class suburban district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located behind Bahçelievler on the European side of the city, between the two major ring roads, the TEM and the E5. The mayor is Lokman Çağırıcı (AKP).Sparsely populated countryside at the time of founding of the Turkish republic, bağcılar means "vine growers" in Turkish and was known as "Yeşilbağ" (Green Vineyard in Turkish).

Kirazlı, or Kirazlı-Bağcılar, is an underground rapid transit complex of the Istanbul Metro and is serviced by M1B and M3 lines.Kirazlı opened on 14 June 2013 as the southern terminus of the M3 line and eastern terminus of the M1B line. Since the M3 is considered a "continuation" of the M1B, passengers can transfer between these two lines for free.

Yenimahalle is an underground station on the M3 line of the Istanbul Metro in Bağcılar, Istanbul. The station is located beneath Dökümcüler Avenue in the Yenimahalle neighborhood of Bağcılar. Yenimahalle was opened on 14 July 2013 along with the Kirazlı-MetroKent portion of the M3.
