The Norwegian National Museum of Justice, Norwegian: 'Justismuseet', until 2016: Norsk Rettsmuseum, is a public museum of penal justice and law enforcement in Trondheim, Norway. 2001-2017 the director of the museum has been Johan Sigfred Helberg. 2017-2018 the director has been Brynja Birgisdottir. From 2019 Åshild Karevold.

Stiftsgården is the royal residence in Trondheim, Norway. It is centrally situated on the city’s most important thoroughfare, Munkegaten. At 140 rooms constituting 4000 m² (43000 ft²), it is possibly the largest wooden building in Northern Europe, and it has been used by royalty and their guests since 1800.

A statue of Olav Tryggvason is located in Trondheim, Norway. Ila is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Midtbyen, just west the central downtown area of Trondheim. Ila is bordered by the river Nidelva in the south, Skansen in the north, and Steinberget, Bymarka, and Ilsvikøra in the west. The area is mostly residential, with some industry and commerce.

The Gunnerus Library in Trondheim is the oldest scientific library in Norway and dates back to 1768 when it was the library of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (DKNVS). The library is named after bishop Johan Ernst Gunnerus (1718–1773).The Gunnerus Library is among the most important historical libraries in Scandinavia due to its rich collection from the 18th century.

Ilen Church (Norwegian: Ilen kirke) is a parish church in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Ila area in the city of Trondheim, on the 250-metre (820 ft) wide isthmus between the river Nid (Nidelva) and the Trondheimsfjord. It is the church for the Ilen parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros.

Dyrborg is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is a residential area that is located in the borough of Midtbyen, just west of the neighborhood of Ila, north of Byåsen, and south-west of Trolla.

Skansen (Skansen stasjon) is a railway station located at Ila in Trondheim, Norway. It is on the Dovre Line (Dovrebanen), 1.20 kilometers from Trondheim Central Station. Service to the station is provided though the Trøndelag Commuter Rail operated by Norwegian State Railways and regional trains to Røros Station.
