Who else is trying to move up the [non-]leader board by walking very late at night in their neighborhood? There is no way to catch Michelle, Madison, Jamin, Cam or Sue, but we can catch up on our health and sometimes catch quite a sight! Who knew that dogwoods can light up the night??!!

Cheryl, Stephanie, Aidan, and Two Left Feet Kurt went down "Memory Lane" to 1776 K Street. No one believed me that we had a Tiki Bar in the basement. But we did have a photo bomber when we visited the replacement food court in International Square!

I hope everyone had a meaningful Memorial Day. I got my steps in during a neighborhood parade that included Board of Supervisor Jim Walkinshaw, Brigadier General Spencer (Ret), and our neighborhood association President, Mark Tang. The local girl scouts and boy scouts did wreath laying and the colors. John Hughes played the bagpipes. Jim gave a talk reminiscent of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. This picture was taken right after the playing of Taps.

Beautiful day at the ballpark. James Wood's 2-run homer, and a Nats win! 10,000 steps come easy when going to a game!

You never know what you might come across on your walk. The other day, a beautiful vista of DC from near Patton Officers' Club at Fort Myer. (Scott Felder won the free Starbucks coffee!). Today, an antique first Earth Day button (4/22/1970). The button, the earth, and I might be a little worse for wear, but taking Metro and walking was a win-win-win!
