Pacer does not have an option for non-competitive challenges, but in this group, you’re only competing with yourself! The purpose of the challenge is to work toward your 500 mile goal. There’s a limit of 3 miles per day - if you’re getting that much in, you probably need to find a more challenging group! Only GPS tracked counts. The 500 mile goal is for ~intentional~ miles, so does not use your daily steps.
1– Divide 500 by 365 days: aim for 1.37 miles per day 2 -- Divide 509 by 52 weeks: aim for 9.62 miles per week 3 — Divide 500 by 12 months: aim for 41.7 miles per month 4 — Customize divisions for greater chance for success: Divide the months according to when you feel more confident about the goal. For example, I know it’s unlikely that I will follow through walking as much certain months due to the weather, so I’ll set myself a minimum number of miles to get in those months so that I am working towards my goal and building a walking habit while being realistic and not setting myself up for failure. 3-
