🔮 I stopped by this giant reflective sphere this morning and felt as though I was looking into a crystal ball. What it reflected (besides me 🤣) was a slice of Singapore — skyscrapers, heritage buildings, giant trees, public art, and plenty of greenery woven into the cityscape. Along the way, I came across a heritage tree with roots stretching in every direction, quiet garden paths tucked between office towers, and window cleaners suspended high on a skyscraper, carrying out their work far above the streets below. Just a few interesting sights from a morning walk through what is often called a city in a garden 🌳🏙️😊

🌙 When the Moon Stayed for Sunrise 🌅 A follow-up to my recent post, “Two Skies, One Morning”. That morning, I photographed the sunrise in one direction and the moon in the other. Today brought an unexpected sequel. Looking east during my walk, I was surprised to find both the rising sun and the moon sharing the same sky. The sunrise was slowly colouring the clouds and water in shades of pink and gold, while high above lingered a very tiny crescent moon. In fact, you’ll need to look very carefully to spot it. It appears as just a faint sliver against the brightening sky. For a few fleeting moments, the moon remained in the sky as the sun began to rise. Endings and beginnings can sometimes share the same space, if only for a little while. Sometimes the most beautiful moments on a morning walk are the ones you never expected to see 🌙☀️

🏆 World Cup fever is back, but I’m at the stage of life where sleep beats football every time 😄 With matches kicking off at ridiculous hours in Singapore, I’m happy to miss them live 😴 No FOMO here. I only realized the tournament had started because the opening match reportedly featured three red cards 🟥🟥🟥 Now that’s memorable! Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I still wonder why the 2026 World Cup ends up in countries where football isn’t the dominant sport 🤔 Mexico, sure. But the USA and Canada? Then again, what do I know? 🤷‍♂️ I also learned VAR is still alive and well ⚽📺, so while fans argue over decisions at 3am ⏰, I’ll be sleeping peacefully 😴💤 My preferred replay is a sunrise and a morning walk 🌅🚶‍♂️One gives 90 minutes of entertainment ⚽; the other gives fresh air, exercise, and a few thousand healthy steps🚶‍♂️💪 At my age, that’s a winning 🏅 score 😎

Sometimes the best way to know a city is not only through its famous landmarks, but also through the places where its people live, play, and grow up. 🇸🇬

Two skies, one morning. Walking to work this morning, I looked east and was greeted by a fiery sunrise painting the sky in shades of gold and orange. Turning almost 180 degrees in the opposite direction, a pale moon still lingered quietly in the cool blue morning sky. What a contrast! One side of the horizon announcing the arrival of a new day with brilliance and warmth, while the other held on gently to the calm of the night. Yet both shared the same sky, reminding me that beginnings and endings often coexist, each beautiful in its own way. Sometimes all it takes is a glance in a different direction to see a completely different perspective. 🌅🌕✨
