A celebration!

This week, a rather large heat dome is going to settle over at least half of the United States. It’s going to be hot. 🥵 I’m thankful that I’m able to walk through our city park again. The damage has been cleaned up. There are more repairs to be made, but I’m thankful that no one was killed and to the best of my knowledge no one was hurt. For our friends from outside the United States, who have come here to visit for the World Cup thank you. We have enjoyed your visit.

Unfortunately, there was a lot of damage done to our park just two nights ago by some very vicious winds. Most of the park is still closed. What little part was open I walked and walked and walked so the map is gonna show me over walking things several times but that’s just what happened. I did not read of anybody being hurt during those storms so that’s caused for being thankful. The United States is now 250 years old.

A very hot and humid walk. As you can see there is no breeze. The temperature will rise to 96°F today. For my metric friends that is approximately 35.5°C. The humidity is already sitting at 92 to 93\%.\n\nHere at the city park, the fireworks are ready for this Saturday when the United States will celebrate its official no Kings day, also known as the Fourth of July happy birthday to the United States 250 years old!
