My last full day in Bastimentos was filled with monkeys, hermit crabs, sloth, dolphins, starfish and loads and loads of fish. Tonight I’m going to sleep to the sounds of a thunderstorm and chirping frogs. What a great vacation.

Today’s adventure included an 8km round trip hike to Wizard Beach. The only way to get to the beach is a very narrow and difficult path through the jungle. You have to bring with you every thing you need because there is no one there! We finished off the day transferring to a different lodge deeper into the Bastimentos jungle and having cocktails while watching the sunset over the Costa Rican mountains.

Another amazing day in Panama. After a 30 minute journey by boat through the mangroves and seeing sloth along we way, we hiked into the forest to explore a bat cave. The cave has natural water running through and at parts of the hike you are swimming in water well above your head. What a great adventure!

Wonderful day of fishing and snorkeling followed by eating the yellowfin jack that my friend caught.

Where do I even begins with today’s adventures? Flew to Bocas del Toro and took a water taxi the island of Bestimentos and checked into a wonderful bungalow overlooking the Caribbean. Had a wonderful lunch overlooking the bay and then body surfed the waves at Red Frog Beach. Though I didn’t see any frogs at the beach, I did share my outdoor shower with two of them back at the bungalow when cleaning off the salt and sand to get ready for dinner.
