Thursday’s steps.
Just returned from entrusting my daughter to the care of University of Miami.
We stayed at the magnificent Biltmore Hotel, which was less than 5 miles from campus.
Having lived in North Miami at one time, I was never aware of the stark contrast of landscapes covering such short distances in S. Florida.
Coral Gables is home to an amazing variety of Banyan trees.
Returning home, I somehow imagined that being an empty nester would feel better than this. What a naive fool I am.
I’m reminded at every turn that somethings missing. As irritating as my daughter could be at times, I feel like I’m mourning the loss of a limb. I can’t figure out where the time went.
