Spotted a gulmohar tree in full bloom — radiant, orange against the green of the leaves and the blue behind it. Stopped, looked up a while. Walked on. A few steps later, looked down, and there it was — a fallen bloom on the pavement. Wrinkled. Spotted. Past its prime by any ordinary measure. Still beautiful. Maybe more honestly beautiful than the one still on the tree, because this one had actually lived through something. Beauty was never really about staying flawless. Beautiful on the tree. Beautiful on the ground. Keep appreciating. Keep moving. 荣 枯 🖖

A little bay window alcove, four orchid plants and one anthurium keeping them company. Not much, as gardens go. But one of them decided to have a blooming new beginning. A bud had stayed closed since the day I brought the plants home. Every morning I’d check without really expecting anything — and today, without ceremony, it had simply become a flower. Deep magenta, white-piped edges, that small burst of yellow at the centre with a warm fleck of orange, like it had saved the best detail for last. My pretty little Phalaenopsis Younahome Coco, aka Coco. And Gala has been in bloom since she arrived, keeping quiet company in the background. Two of the four have now bloomed. Two are still deciding, in their own quiet time, same as anything worth waiting for. Keep appreciating. Keep moving. (And on some days, there’s only just about as much as you can push.) 赏 · सुंदरता · 어디든 🖖

The apartment pathway, morning. This time, the cat was out on its usual wall. It spotted me and turned away first, the way cats do. A little toying, a little patience, and it finally allowed the capture. But something in that pause stayed with me. It wasn’t just posing — it was deciding. Whether to accept me a little longer in its space, or to leap away and be done with it. Haunches gathered, weight already leaning toward a possible jump — head still turning back to check. That’s the part I recognized. Not a decision made in a hurry. The moment before it, weighing whether to let something in or shut it out. On the fence. Not sure which way to go. But watching and weighing — that’s the part that matters. Keep weighing. Keep moving. (It’s okay too, to sit back on your haunches if you’ve had enough.) The cat gets to sit this one out. I took the moving option — 103.2 km down this month. 待 · 备 · 결정 🖖
