Mine is to walk an hour a day + my daily activities. This worked well for me in the past because when I had days my body was more tired, it was ok if I didn’t go as fast or took as many steps, it was the hour that mattered. Most reliable time for me to do it is in the morning. However I was attacked by a crow, and I’m terrified to go out now (day time seems safe enough, they seem more active in the morning) soooo while fledglings are learning to fly (probably mid June?) I’ll have a backup goal of 8,000 steps.
If you haven’t thought of goals here are some ideas I’ve seen:
Time walked
- 15 mins after meals
- 1 hr (mornings, after work, evenings)
Steps walked
- 8,000, 10,000, etc steps
- 10%, 15%, 20% more than you currently walk
Speed walked
- 3 mph, 4 mph
