An old friend who I sailed across the Atlantic sent me these photos\n I visited Spain a place called “ESTAPONA” run a beach bar, selling chickens, and studying karate etc. when I decided to fly to Mexico and I thought I will be opportune to learn Spanish \n\nSome said to me, I should consider sailing along, I was immediately even though I’ve never been on a boat \nI stared visiting the local marinas asking if anyone need a crew.. when they discovered I had zero experience, they would always say “sorry we need only experienced crew” Slowly I adapted, my story went from NOVICE to RUSTY. Finally I boarded the DORCAS SUE a 45ft ketch (all photo attached) and began a voyage across the Atlantic, Gibraltar 🇬🇮 to the canary island to the Cape Verde 🇨🇻 and then across to Barbados 🇧🇧.It was in the second day when my captain “tommy tune” (search goggle ) from Little Rock Arkansas yelled “Edward go down the pointy end” because he no nautical idea on how to sail but I will just do it anyway \n\n
