My 12 year old cockapoo HATES fireworks and freaks out when she hears them. I'm super lucky she runs home, or she did last year, at least. (I accidentally dropped her leash when she unexpectedly bolted a couple of times last year.) I've had friends who've lost their dogs, fatally sometimes, when they didn't take necessary precautions. Dogs and fireworks DO NOT MIX!

I basically had to drag Nutmeg the entire walk. She wasn't walking in the rain, and once my socks were wet through my boots, I was over it, too! 🚶🏼‍♀️🦮🌂🌧️☔

I adopted Nutmeg in Spring 2021. For the first time ever, I started walking my dog instead of letting her out in the yard, or tied on a lead. I NEVER walk alone, so this challenge badge is just as much hers as it is mine. 🚶🏼‍♀️🦮
