Time to check in.\nBeen dieting since Jan 1st. Eating almost all plant based healthy food and counting calories. I’m down 29 lbs and even better, my cholesterol is below 150. BP is down too.\nConsulted with an orthopedic surgeon who said no surgery is needed now on my knees. My diet is anti inflammatory so my pain levels have dropped. Losing weight helps, too.\nI’ve been losing weight despite cutting back on my steps. Healthy diet is the key.\nI am grateful for the changes and feeling good in every way.\nGood luck everyone, here’s hoping your goals are rising up to meet you.\n
My walking buddy and I enjoying 60 degrees and a new nature area. Beautiful day in NC.

Hi All,\n9 weeks since shoulder surgery and it’s coming along well. Still would like to have full use of my shoulder and willing to do exercises and wait for another 3 months.\nKeeping to nutritious diet which means no alcohol, caffeine or meat, dairy or chicken. Takes some getting used to. Some say it takes a month or two to get over the food cravings. I’m willing to be patient on that too.\nIn February I have blood test and I’ll find out how my diet is paying off. Hoping for great results!
Decided to cut my time down for a while. 6k steps is an hour walking. My goal is to drop some weight, 20 lbs to start, so I can jog.
Happy Thanksgiving all,\nToday was my seventh day of 10k steps. When I retired 3 years ago and we moved to NC my knees were sore after .5 to 1 mile. Between more plants in the diet and supplements, walking over three miles daily is possible. I am thankful.\n\nShoulder is healing too. My new photo shows my walking partner.\n\nWhatever your goals, I weigh you the joy of doing and completion.
