Be encouraged by this today: you are not lost in the crowd before God. You are not overlooked, forgotten, or interchangeable. Your Savior knows you completely. He carries you upon His heart even now, and He will never fail to bring His people safely home.

Exodus 17:8-16 Ask God to bring people into your life who can faithfully and lovingly lift you up in prayer without judging you or expecting anything in return. And ask the Lord to open your eyes to those around you who need an Aaron and a Hur in their life just as Moses did when his people were fighting the war.

The golden lampstand especially reminds us that God is the source of light for His people. Left to ourselves, we walk in spiritual darkness. But God, in His mercy, provides light through His Word and ultimately through Christ, who declared Himself to be “the light of the world” (John 8:12).
