I was still undecided where my morning walk was going to take me as I stepped out of the door this bright sunny day. \n\nShould I head my normal route? Have I got time to go a little further? I still hadn’t made up my mind when I reached my nemesis of a gate. Ok feet, let’s go the longer route. \n\nThe sheep glanced my direction and one or two felt brave enough to walk towards me, but I strode on along the field for 1/2 mile paying them no heed, until I reached the next gate. A simple bit of twine over the gate post makes a fine locking mechanism. \n\nI forded the the river, well stream, or maybe brook and crossed into the mine field of wool, sheep poo and wee which would take me to the farm where I’d encounter yet even more sheep. \n\nFinally I get to the farm drive where I can get a bit of a step on. The sheep on this stretch are lined up at the side of the road, one behind the other. Just like synchronised swimmers, they peel off into the field as the big scary human approaches.
