Drawing a little sunshine today.

My garden is offering up so many beauties today I just had to share them. As for hydration , I am on it ! Lemon flavored seltzer water is my favorite. No calories but refreshing. Whatever your favorite way is to down your water remember the law of three. You can live three minutes without oxygen, three days without water, and three weeks without food. Think about that, breathe deeply and drink your water!

My garden is beautiful at this time of year, and I am happy to report that my weight loss is holding nicely. My goal was 125. When I got there I kept losing and have gotten down to 115. Now I am between 115 and 120 everyday and I have been holding the weight loss for nine months. When I start to gain, I drop back into the keto diet or I ramp up my walking a bit and just cut back on my food intake. I feel empowered now. I know how to lose the weight and I don’t have to live my life heavy anymore. You can do it too!

Down from 148 to 135. Those are difficult pounds to lose, as I am 5’8” and no longer a youngster. Haha. But I still want to look and feel my best so I am going for another 10 - 15 pound weight loss. I’ll do it like I did the first 15 lbs., slowly and without any crazy diets. Just less food, more water and more exercise. You can’t do it unless you cut down what you eat, really make permanent changes to your lifestyle. Because dieting alone will work but slowly. However, exercising alone, without making sensible changes to your didn’t, won’t work. If you don’t eat less than you are burning up in a day you simply won’t lose weight. Exercise is critical but it takes so much exercise to lose a pound. But if you combine sensible eating (no sugar) with exercise you’ll see results much faster. Be good to yourself, and whatever you do stay positive. If you aren’t on your own side, encouraging yourself and believing in your who’s gonna have your back? That’s right, no one.
Just last week I broke into the 130s on the scale and today I weighed in at 137.7. I have been working on changing my habits for about two months, and have lost ten pounds. It was slow but I really feel like it is going to stay off. I have made significant changes in my diet and as a result my appetite has gone down. I was also able to kick the sugar habit. Now if I want to have something with sugar in it my capacity is greatly reduced so I can indulge and still not go overboard, and I don’t crave sugar. When I want to eat something with sugar it’s more of an idea I am intrigued by than a physical craving. Freedom! Now I get to enjoy the journey as I continue in my new lifestyle, increasing my exercise, beginning to incorporate yoga, and enjoying my new, lighter body. Moving is so much easier even ten pounds lighter. I am enjoying every step. Have a blessed day!
