So I had a hospital visit last Thursday and was discharged Sunday. Had a 6 inch blood clot in my right hip and a pulmonary embolism in my left lung. Thank the Lord I am ok. I am on Eliquis (blood thinner) for any future clots and to possibly melt down the clot in my lung. I had NO idea any of this was happening to me until I woke up Thursday (middle of the night) to use the restroom and my hip had the absolute worst pain I’ve ever felt. I looked down and my entire leg was purple and severely swollen. The funny thing is, is that my leg felt/looked entirely normal when I went to bed! \n\nSo I had a few ultrasounds, a CT and then a thrombectomy surgery the following morning. And it HURT! They ran a catheter through the vein that is affected and pulled out the clot that was the source. Well mine was 6 inches and connected. Looked like a ramen noodle. LOL 😆\n\nI’m now on Eliquis for at least 3 months. I am sure that when I follow up with my surgeon it probably be prescribed for longer.

So my baby girl was accepted to college! She will be going to Middle TN State University! We just completed an admitted student tour this morning. Now we are having lunch on campus. I am SO VERY PROUD of this girl!!! She will be majoring in (criminal) psychology and minoring in (she has no idea) lol. She’s going to college y’all! Did I already say that I’m proud?? 😊👍🏽🎉
