On Day 7 night, we stretched ourselves after work to complete the south part of Taipei bike way from City Zoo to Dadaocheng Wharf with a full team and each finished around 25 km. The south part is probably the most beautiful section of Taipei bikeway system and i encourage readers come to experience this great evening ride. I’d like to take this chance to express my sincere gratitude to Gaelle and COM to make this meaningful event happened. I was fully inspired by all our colleagues’ determination, persistency and the “never surrender” spirit. Things may not always go the way we like in our daily life, with the #ExtraMile mindset we will be able to meet any tough situations and make the impossible possible. Thank you my teammates, thank you all the teams in the region. Good night!

Imagine it is now 1852, you are a fisherman living at a remote fishing port in Taiwan’s north coast and have to spend 7-8 hours climbing over a mountain to deliver your catch to the market in city areas, and the path you take gradually develops into a trail, which is called “ Fishermen’s Trail” afterwards. Today this Trail still exists connecting Jing-Shan fishing port ( 35 minutes away from Taipei by car) and Taipei ‘s Shi-Lin district, but serves more recreational purposes attracting many hikers and mountain climbers. Today #ApexTaiwan took 4 hours climbing from sea level to altitude around 750m and completed only about 50% of it. We shall be back!

Tamsui River, the longest river in northern Taiwan and three of its tributaries are famous for their riverside bikeways with total length around 91 km and cycling along these rivers has become many Taipei people’s daily agenda for long. Today (Day4), #ApexTaiwan and other peer teams cycled between Dadaocheng Wharf and Dajia Park, the central part of the bikeway. We had many nice photos, lots of laughters and pleasant dialogues during the cycling, additionally, lots of sweat in a very sunny day.
