This hike takes you around the outmost trails of Kings Gap. Park at the lower parking area then start on the trailhead toward the watershed trail. Turn left and follow this trail until you get to the boundary trail then turn left onto this trail. Follow the boundary trail to the top of the mountain and turn left onto the Buck Ridge Trail (BRT). Follow this trail until you see a sign for Maple Hallow Trail the turn right (about 50 feet) then left onto Maple Hallow Trail. Follow this trail until you get to Forest Heritage Trail then turn right onto this trail and follow it until you get to Ridge Overlook trail and turn right onto this trail and follow it until you get to Kings Gap Hallow Trail then turn right onto this trail. Follow Kings Gap Hallow Trail until you get to the road. Go across the road to the boundary trail trailhead and follow it back to where you first turned onto the boundary trail (please note that the watershed trail merges with the boundary trail for a short jaunt. You will turn left onto the watershed trail but it is at the second turn after you have followed the combined trail). Follow the watershed trail back to the trailhead for the parking area where you started.
