The 1.5-mile paved loop is smooth, well-maintained, and mostly shaded—perfect for early morning or evening workouts. It’s wide enough to share with others without feeling crowded, and there are plenty of benches and water fountains along the way. The scenery is beautiful with the pond, tall pines, and wildlife. I always feel safe here, even when I go alone. Plus, it’s a nice bonus to see families and dogs enjoying the space too. One of the best places in Wilmington to get your steps in! 🏃‍♀️

Just had THE BEST first time experience at The Big Dog dog park. Loop is also lovely to meander beneath the tall, “long leaf” pine trees. Definitely recommend!
