Explore what it was like to traverse the Oregon Trail. Engage in your favorite exercise activities from anywhere in the world, to unlock new destinations along the journey. You can monitor your advancement in real-time using Google Maps within the app. As you make your way along the trail, you will unlock information about an important destination along the trail.

Track your progress, move alongside the virtual route of Virtual Walk the Oregon Trail: Eastern Wyoming, and compete for the first to finish the adventure.
  • Allowed Activities: All activities are allowed, including cycling and manually input data.
  • Distance Goal: 247.84 km
  • Daily Limit: 32.19 km

Prize
Upon completion of the trail, you will receive a medal. Once you complete the trail, visit one of the following locations to pick up your medal. Be prepared to show that you completed the trail by bringing up the app. If you cannot pick up the medal at one of the following locations please call 307-577-5150 or email linley.palazzolo@wyo.gov. Locations: Wyoming State Parks Headquarters in the Barrett Building in Cheyenne, Guernsey State Park, Edness K. Wilkins State Park, Casper Recreation Center, National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, South Pass City State Historic Site, Fort Bridger State Historic Site.
