• Check your Step Data Source in Pacer (Profile → Step Data Source). Make sure the correct source is selected, especially if you’re using a wearable like Fitbit or Apple Health. • Sync your wearable first (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, etc.) with its own app before opening Pacer. Pacer can only import data after the wearable app has synced. • Turn on “Step Counter Notification” in Pedometer Preferences. This helps keep the step counter active in the background, especially on Android. • Disable battery savers or cleaning apps (e.g., Clean Master, device “optimization” tools). These can shut down Pacer in the background and prevent step tracking. • Avoid switching between phone tracking and wearable tracking. Pacer warns that switching data sources can cause step inaccuracies or resets. • Restart your phone after adjusting settings — this resolves issues on some devices, especially Samsung.
