Ric Office- Troutman Pepper

Somehow my spine’s anniversary always manages to pass me! 14 years! (Yes, I’m prepared to age myself😬) 🎉🥳🍾👏🏽 Some of you may know this, but this may surprise many. In June of 2010, at the age of 17 (and the summer before my senior year of high school), I underwent a spinal fusion from T-somewhere to L-somewhere else! 😂 For those in the know, this is the same surgery our dear friend and mailroom worker Eric had on his neck earlier this summer. It only really dawned on me this summer how absolutely massive and intense this surgery is; I mean your spine is second to maybe your brain? A tiny slip could ruin everything. I’m taking this time to celebrate Past Taylor who conquered this incredible physical feat! And to shoutout Troutman once again. Without FMLA, my mom would not have been able to “take the summer off” to be my nurse. Obviously hats go off to Bonnie, too!

I may have been OOTO yesterday but I was THERE! 😂 After almost 5 years of living in Virginia, Jeff’s parents were finally able to make their way down for a (too) short visit. (To their credit, the pandemic hit a month after Jeff’s final visit to get his things.) Our parents also met in person for the first time which went off without a hitch! Once we toured the landscaping company where Jeff works, we drove down to Brown’s and I showed the future in-laws the ✨stunning✨ parking deck, the canal, the awesome murals (got to brag on my friend who did Candyman!), the staging area of Brown’s, and a lovely walk across the river. We then did some good food and shopping in Carytown! 🛍️ Jeff’s mom kindly(?) refused any more walks after that. 😂 I am very fortunate and I ADORE my future in-laws. They raised a good man for me to marry. 💖💍👩🏽‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏼
