Stay safe out there, people!

Just wanted to share something I put together for early morning walks (or evening walks in the winter when it gets dark so early). I had been looking at reflective sashes but didn’t wish to look like a crossing guard, so when I came across this reflective strap for walkie talkies / firefighter mics, I snatched it up and clipped my water bottle holder onto it. The strap has loops to hook my mini fan, pepper spray, flashlight or whatever else I feel I may need for any particular outing. It works great and the reflective qualities are superb! The bottle holder fits my small, insulated flask, my phone and my earbud case. All I usually need when I’m out by myself. Remember, all this walking does us no good if we get clipped by a car! Stay safe out there everyone!!! 💚

One of my short, silly walks. lol I have knee issues, am recovering from a minor surgery and have two dogs who are getting up in years, so I focus on staying close to home by zig-zagging rather than going further than is necessary. Some mornings I can do four miles and not ever be more than a half mile away from my front door. It makes for a silly looking map route.

If this group manages to acquire any members, we can shoot for a challenge start at the beginning of August. What would be preferred? Daily step counts? Monthly distance/steps? Like I said, I’m new here but am down for whatever keeps up the motivation. Ni!
