IV. Pilates
Pilates…if you are on TikTok, Instagram or any social media, you should have heard about ‘Pilates’ at least once.
And guys, I promise, PILATES WORTH THE HYPE!!!
I personally prefer Pilates to Cardio and weigh lifting. My posture and core muscles have improved so much after 2+ months of Pilates.
And in case if my male buddies are afraid that Pilates is too feminine, look at the two pictures below ^^ the body control and strength of Raymond (one of my coach) is crazy. And yes, he has two kids and a wife haha, so don’t worry about Pilates not being masculine enough.
4III. Too busy for a glow up
After 12 years of school, 3 years of university (about to graduate) and working as an intern for various positions, I can assure you that “glowing up” is very much possible for sedentary lifestyle.
Instead of sitting, I pace back and forth while answering my phone; I stand up when having lunch; I always go for a short walk 10 minutes before work, 10 minutes lunch break and 10 minutes after walk.
I usually work out 4 times a week (trust me I tried my best to be consistent), but the omits important thing in your fitness life is your diet. I love the saying ‘what you eat in private will be shown in public’. This isn’t about creating pressure or counting calories, but to be very mindful what you consume in a day. When I am more mindful, eating much more slowly, I notice that I don’t need 10 dumplings and two fried chickens for lunch. You can eat whatever you want, but make sure to control the amount.
That’s it love, it’s time for me to work!!! See you soon
Love ya,
Angel

6II. “I’ll start again on Monday”
Early in my fitness journey, I would refuse to eat any carbs, sugar or fat as they were demonized as “unhealthy food”. And guess what happened, it turn into a full blown obsession with sweets and pastries. When I realized I had intake too many “unhealthy” treats, I feel guilty and tell myself “I’ll start again on Monday”.
…”I’ll redo everything on Monday”….”Monday it is”…”it’s okay, let’s start on Monday”…
After months, all I have lost is my confidence, patience and trust for myself. I constantly blame myself for not locked in enough, for being too weak…
So what did I do? I allow myself to have treats, WITH MODERATION. Consistency is the key, allowing yourself to have some treats once a few days. My secret is that I tell myself the treats will fuel my sets and steps, therefore I could lift heavier weights, reach more steps and more active in my internship.
For me, consistency and moderation is key. What is yours?
